Critical Bugs Were Fixed in Windows 10 October 2018 Update
Windows 10 October 2018 Update, which is also known as Windows 10 version 1809, was firstly released back in October of the last year 2018.
At the beginning of the release of Windows 10 version 1809, the users reported many bug such as files deletion, Black Screen of Death, iCloud incompatibility issue, and more.
After the file deletion was reported, Microsoft considered this issue as a serious one and it even rolled back the update. When this issue was resolved, the update was re-leased.
Recently, the company pushed this update to more ordinary customers after it addresses all of the critical issues. Generally speaking, all of the critical issues have been solved and this new Windows 10 version just works fine till now.
Windows Version 1809 Action Center Bug Still Exists
Though Windows version 1809 works fine now, there is still a bug that the Action Center firstly appears on the left side and then appears on the right side of the window finally. Please see the following two screenshots:
The first one is the first location when the Acton Center appears:
Then the left interface disappears and then it appears on the right side of the window as follows:
This bug was firstly discovered last year of 2018. After it was reported, Microsoft has fixed it in Windows 10 19H1 preview builds. However, for some unknown reasons, the company hasn’t ported the fix in the October 2018 Update builds.
As to Windows 10 Build 17763.316, its Action Center in Windows 10 firstly appears on the left side of the screen before appearing on the right side where it should be. This bug just happens for second and then the Action Center will be displayed on its right place.
Days ago, there is a new thread on Reddit said that the Windows version 1809 Action Center bug still appears in February 2019 version of Windows 10 October 2018 Update like this: It’s been almost 5 months but the action center still momentarily opens from the left side.
Windows Version 1809 Action Center Bug Has Been Fixed in Insider Builds
The Action Center bug still exists in Windows 10 version 1809. However, Microsoft knows this issue and it confirmed that this issue has been solved on the Windows 10 19H1 Build 18267 which is released for Insiders.
In the release notes of Windows 10 19H1 Build 18267, Microsoft said like this:
We fixed an issue where the Action Center might suddenly appear on the opposite side of the screen before appearing on the correct side.
Although the fix is available in the Windows Insiders builds, Microsoft hasn’t updated it in Windows 10 version 1809. And the company doesn’t release some related information about this bug. Thus, we will don’t know when the company is going to address the glitch in Action Center.
