Some people have reported receiving the following error message when trying to launch MRT – “This app has been blocked by your system administrator. Contact your system administrator for more info”. You can go to MiniTool to find the methods.

Malicious Removal Tool (MRT) is a freely distributed malware removal tool, which is developed by Microsoft and used on Windows operating systems. Instead of leveraging real-time protection, it focuses on scanning malware on your computer.

There are several reasons for the “MRT blocked by system administrator” error:

1. The software may be listed in the Software Restriction Policy.

2. Some registry entries prevent the tool from starting.

3. The file may not be owned by the administrator

4. Sometimes, the file doesn’t have administrator permissions.
