The Windows 11 Release Date
Microsoft is going to unveil Windows 11, the next version of Windows OS, on June 24, 2021. It is named Sun Valley. Before that, Microsoft announced the end date of Windows 10 (Oct 14, 2025). #1. New User Interface (UI)
Now, let’s have a look at the new user interface of Windows 11.
1. Font
Rumors show that Microsoft is going to change the font in the UI. And some signs indicate that it does want to do so. For example, it asks users to pick from five fonts to replace Calibri. Besides, it also wants to hire someone to give a redesign according to the users’ requirements. Perhaps, Microsoft will release the related information at the June 24 event.
2. Location of App Icons and the Start Menu
In Windows 11, the app icons on the taskbar and the Start Menu are centered. But you can move them to the left.
3. Round Corners throughout Windows 11
Additionally, the Windows 11 interface has a round corner. For example, the Start Menu has a round corner, the Windows Explorer has a round corner.
#2. New Start Menu
The new Start Menu looks like what in Windows 10X. It has a new icon and it has round corners.
The start menu can be moved to the center or the left side of the screen. Everything in the Start Menu is simplified. For example, if you want to see all apps installed on your computer, you need to click All apps to show all. That is, the installed app will not show up in the Start Menu by default.

There is a new icon in Windows 11 taskbar and it is labeled Widgets. You can slide it out. And it gives you quick access to news, weather, and other web content.

The Xbox app in Windows 11 is refreshed. You can quickly go to Xbox Game Pass games, the social parts of the Xbox network, and the Xbox store.
