Windows 10 allows you to pause Windows updates for up to 35 days. You can do it in the Settings app. You can use these steps to pause updates for 35 days:

Permanently Block Windows 10 21H2 Update Using Local Group Policy Editor

1. Press Win+R to open Run.
2. Type msc and press Enter to open Local Group Policy Editor.
3. Go to this path: Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update > Windows Update for Business.
4. Double-click Select the target Feature Update version from the right pane to open it.
5. On the next interface, select Enabled.
6. Under the Options section, type Windows 10 under Which Windows product version would you like to receive updates for?
7. Type 21H1 under Target Version for Feature Updates.
8. Click Apply.
9. Click OK.
10. Run Command Prompt as administrator.
11. Type gpupdate /force and press Enter.
12. Restart your computer.

If you want to install Windows Updates, you can repeat the above steps but select Not configured in step 5. Likewise, you still need to run gpupdate /force command in Command Prompt after modifying Group Policy.

Permanently Block Windows 10 21H2 Update Using Registry Editor

16. Click OK.
17. Close Registry Editor.
18. Restart your computer.
