If you forgot your Instagram password and can’t log into Instagram, you can follow the step-by-step guide below to reset your Instagram password. You can reset the password with your email address, phone number, or Facebook account.

On desktop:

Step 1. Go to https://www.instagram.com/ in your browser and click Forgot Password to access the Instagram password reset page. Alternatively, you can directly go to https://www.instagram.com/accounts/password/reset/ in your browser to open the password reset window.

Step 2. Next, enter your email address, phone number, or username that you used for your Instagram account. Click the Send login link button and Instagram will send you a link that you can click to regain access to your account.

Step 3. Then you can click the Instagram password reset link you received and follow the instructions to change your Instagram password to a new one. In this way, you can recover your Instagram account.

On Android:

Step 1. On Android, you can open the Instagram app. On the login screen, you can tap Get help logging in under the username and password fields.

From the Instagram website:

Step 1. Go to the Instagram official website in your browser.

Step 2. Click the More icon at the bottom-left and select Settings.

Step 3. Click the Change Password option to open the Instagram password change window.

Step 4. Then you can enter your old password and type a new password for your account. When you are done, you can click Change Password to save the change. To create a strong password, it’s advised you use a combination of at least 6 numbers, letters, and punctuation marks.
